We introduced our homecare service to work in harmony with the specialist dementia day care expertise we offer, making The Rainbow Care Group the first support service in the region to do so.
Our range of homecare services provides the utmost level of comfort to people living with dementia, whilst being in the space of their own home.
We are passionate about promoting participation in activities for people living with dementia and will support and enable them to continue with their hobbies and interests. This is extremely important for a person’s physical and mental wellbeing. Our carers can support various activities. If someone wants to go to the seaside and dip their toes in the sea, we want to make that happen!
We can assist with a variety of personal care needs including washing, bathing, dressing, transfers and continence. We approach all personal care tasks with dignity and respect and look at each individual’s preferences. If someone has a favourite perfume they like to wear or a favourite tie to put on, our specialist trained carers will know this and will make sure that people start the day how they always did.
We can enable the individuals that we support to continue to prepare their own meals, or instead they can put their feet up and allow our carers to prepare a delicious, home cooked, nutritious meal. Our staff will not rush but will sit and chat to individuals whilst they eat their meals, offering support and encouragement if needed.
We can provide support during the night with sleeping nights or waking nights. This may be for company, to offer reassurance, or to provide respite for a loved one.
We recognise and fully support the individuality of each person that we care for. Everyone will have a different experience of dementia and because of this will require different levels of assistance.
We will spend time with you and your family, and will create an individually tailored support plan that will meet all of your needs.

Care Management Service
