Our Chadwick End Village Hall Club
Mondays and Thursdays between 10am and 4pm
Chadwick End Village Hall, Warwick Road, Chadwick End, Solihull B93 0BL
Chadwick End Village Hall is situated in the middle of the village directly opposite The Orange Tree pub. The car park is adjacent to the Hall. There is a children’s playground behind the Hall with around 10 pieces of play equipment.
Chadwick End Village Hall, car park, playground and the recreation ground are owned and operated by Chadwick End Parish Council.
The Hall itself was built at the turn of the century and offers a traditional set up for your event, measuring around 3100 sq feet in total. The main hall itself has seating for 60 people with fold out tables. There is a small kitchen which has a fridge, microwave, cooker, kettle, urn, cutlery, plates, cups and glasses. Leading off the main hall is a smaller room which has a ‘bar’ at one end (sadly not fully equipped!).
The village hall and recreation ground (approximately 3 acres) were first provided through the generosity of a wealthy resident, Mr Watson of Chadwick Manor in 1908 and initially run by Trustees. However, the cost of maintaining the Hall finally convinced the Trustees to offer it as a gift to the Parish Council in 1934, together with land on the south east side of Oldwich Lane West, Chadwick End. The playing field was donated much later by the Moore family to celebrate their daughters Olympic medal.

Meet Anita
Hi my name is Anita. I live in Solihull with two beautiful daughters and my furry friends. I am now the proud manager of the day club for Solihull branch of The Rainbow Care group.
My journey in the care sector started 17 years ago as a carer in a Dementia home in Birmingham. It was my dream job helping people and being their voice , delivering personal Centered care, dignity, giving choice, and learning that everyone is different. Making sure that I also kept their independence from baking, listening to music they loved and showing pictures of their family it gave me so much pride and happiness knowing that when I went home that everyone had a beautiful day, I learnt skills i.e someone could not hear I would write everything down and the joy that gave to that person was so special the person would read it for hours.
Then in 2016 I became a manager of a domicilary care agency. I have enjoyed keeping people at home with help from one of our amazing team. I would do the risk assessments, personal centered care plans, choice and independence in their own home. I have met many people living with dementia and cognitive imparments and rose to the challenge of making sure they was safe in their own home.
I am now delighted to be a manager of Solihull branch of the Rainbow Care group. I will make a difference to your loved ones days with activities, personal centered care, dignity and lots of laughter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the taster day free?
Totally. We want you to experience the day as if you were a full member. This means places are limited, so please contact us today to reserve a place.
Is it a full day or half day?
The day runs from 10am until 4pm. This is really important to give the carer a full day respite, but also to embed the loved one into the group. The change that takes place when someone gets a full day of stimulation is much faster, so beneficial all round.
Can the carer stay with the loved one?
We don’t advise this, no. This is because it is as important for the carer to get some time off and feel refreshed as it is for the loved one to feel part of the group.
Is there food?
Yes, we provide a healthy, nutritious lunch for all. (Allergies will be discussed prior to a taster day)
Do you give personal care?
We can provide personal care and we will deliver this support in the most respectful and dignified way possible. We provide a thorough assessment where we will be able to offer clarification on everything we can provide as part of our service.
