Our Harrogate Club
Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm
100A Knaresborough Road, HG2 7NN
Knaresborough Road is our only day care club to run Monday through to Friday and the whole building was purposely designed by the Rainbow Care Group Founders Natalie Dobson and Megan Bradbury.
Featuring a country café/ kitchen environment, with a dining area which transforms into a dance floor based on Blackpool Tower Ballroom, to a traditional tap room style pub complete with pool table and a dart board, to a comfy ‘home from home’ lounge, this centre is a day out in itself.
On a weekend, we use the building to host a ‘not for profit’ Dementia café that families living with a diagnosis can access as a safe and welcoming environment. There will be Dementia Practitioners on- site too, meaning you can access any support or advice you need while you visit.
Our model can provide care for those who are in the early stages to those who are more progressed and can provide personal care and support if required.

It is staffed by fully qualified support workers who are trained in first aid, moving & handling, dementia awareness, and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
We are also proud to say we guarantee the highest ratio of staff to attendees for a day care service. With that in mind, it enables us us to tailor the day around people’s needs, wants and abilities ensuring split activities and one to one support is available should someone need it.

Meet our Dementia Care Specialists
Liam Hogg
I graduated in 2012 with a degree in Law and ever since I have been honing my leadership and organisational skills in several different sectors, but most recently within Mental Health Care. From this I have developed a genuine passion for providing exceptional care services for those in our community that need it most, and I have a strong belief that anyone in need can benefit from person centred, individualised care that is delivered by well trained staff, in a safe and welcoming environment.
I proudly come from a family of nurses where care, respect and commitment were at the forefront of our daily family discussions around the dinner table, and I endeavour to hold myself to those values in all that I do. In my role as general manager, I am committed to fostering a positive and supportive culture amongst staff. One where guidance, training and ongoing education is always available to ensure the highest possible standards of care are delivered. I am also very keen to collaborate with families and carers, to offer assistance, information and a listening ear to address concerns and provide assurance whenever required.
Above all, I am honoured to be working in a team where the values and mission so closely align with my own and my ultimate goal now, is to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals living with dementia and their loved ones.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the taster day free?
Totally. We want you to experience the day as if you were a full member. This means places are limited, so please contact us today to reserve a place.
Is it a full day or half day?
The day runs from 10am until 4pm. This is really important to give the carer a full day respite, but also to embed the loved one into the group. The change that takes place when someone gets a full day of stimulation is much faster, so beneficial all round.
Can the carer stay with the loved one?
We don’t advise this, no. This is because it is as important for the carer to get some time off and feel refreshed as it is for the loved one to feel part of the group.
Is there food?
Yes, we provide a healthy, nutritious lunch for all. (Allergies will be discussed prior to a taster day)
Do you give personal care?
We can provide personal care and we will deliver this support in the most respectful and dignified way possible. We provide a thorough assessment where we will be able to offer clarification on everything we can provide as part of our service.
