At The Rainbow Care Group in Harrogate and the wider area, we run two Dementia Care Support initiatives that aim to support both those who care for a loved one living with dementia, and those who live with dementia. We want to ensure that no carer, family member or local community member feels isolated during the dementia journey and we’re confident that we can offer help, advice, friendship and support.
Our Carers’ Self Support Group
Our Carer’s Self Support Group is held on the first Tuesday of every month from 7.00pm to 8.00pm at our Knaresborough Road venue.
It’s open to anyone caring for, or supporting, a loved one living with dementia. The group offers advice, support and the opportunity to share experiences in a friendly and welcoming environment.
We have an experienced member of the team at each club, who can offer information about local support services and the specialist respite care that we offer.
We would love to welcome you there!
The venue for our Carers’ Self Support Group is: 100A Knaresborough Road, Harrogate HG2 7NN

Our Weekend Wellbeing Memory Café
Our Weekend Wellbeing Memory Café is held on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
We offer a relaxed and supportive setting, where those living with dementia, their families, carers and community members can meet, socialise, relax and enjoy various activities.
Together we enjoy reminiscing, quizzes and games, music, seasonal events and arts and crafts. All this in amongst great company (with tea, coffee and other refreshments available of course!)
We think this is a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning, with the opportunity to connect with others. Our Rainbow Care Group team are there to support you and offer information and friendly advice too. We’d love you to join us.
