Meet our Dementia Care Specialists
Meet Sainab, Ian and Rubin
Hello, we are Sainab, Ian and Rubin, the managers for the Dementia Day Care Services in Nottingham.
About ourselves
Sainab – I am a Registered Nurse by background and a Practice Teacher in Health and Social Care. I worked as a nurse for eight years in a range of settings before embarking on a career in education. Passionate about delivering safe, compassionate, and person-centred care for people living with dementia, their families, and carers..
Ian – I am a professional software consultant specialising in software development and Information security. I also pursued both my professional and business interests in earnest. Among others, one of my achievements is the creation of a global software product known as the Anti-Terrorist Aircraft System (ATAS), real estate business dates back to 1997. I worked for BUPA for several years hence developed in caring for people living with dementia and the need to support their carers.
Rubin – I am a veteran software consultant with experience spanning finance, logistics, recruitment, and the Care industries to name just a few. I recently worked with a major Healthcare provider; developing software systems used for bookings, monitoring, and management of Care related activities. My passion for helping others has sharpened my interest in caring for the most vulnerable including children, elders, women, and those living with dementia, both sufferers and their relatives. My focus now is on working with The Rainbow Care Group to provide care and support to dementia affected families and raising awareness about this condition in the local community.

What's our mission & core values?
Our mission is to pioneer the way dementia care is provided in Nottingham by providing a specialist dementia day service that only focuses on the needs of people living with dementia in Nottingham. Dignity, Compassion, Respect, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Trust are our core values.
Is the taster day free?
Totally. We want you to experience the day as if you were a full member. This means places are limited, so please contact us today to reserve a place.
Is it a full day or half day?
The day runs from 10am until 4pm. This is really important to give the carer a full day respite, but also to embed the loved one into the group. The change that takes place when someone gets a full day of stimulation is much faster, so beneficial all round.
Can the carer stay with the loved one?
We don’t advise this, no. This is because it is as important for the carer to get some time off and feel refreshed as it is for the loved one to feel part of the group.
Is there food?
Yes, we provide a healthy, nutritious lunch for all. (Allergies will be discussed prior to a taster day)
Do you give personal care?
We can provide personal care and we will deliver this support in the most respectful and dignified way possible. We provide a thorough assessment where we will be able to offer clarification on everything we can provide as part of our service.
