The Rainbow Care Group is delighted to present its dementia day care club in the North Northants area: the Desborough Cricket Club. Our Desborough Cricket Club
Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and 4pm
West Lodge Park, Back Lane, Desborough, NN14 2PH
Desborough Cricket Club is a lovely venue set in the grounds of West Lodge Farm Park.
The grounds boasts, the farm park and restaurant, a garden centre and a pre-school nursery, there’s plenty of on site parking. Views are rural with lots of green space and outdoor seating. The venue itself is fitted with a five star rated kitchen area, tables chairs and some comfy sofas.
I’m sure this beautiful setting will provide us with the perfect venue to create wonderful adventures and meaningful activities.
The intended opening date is 11th June.

Meet Sarah
I’m really excited to be able to bring the Rainbow Care group to the North Northants area. I’m a passionate individual that has always loved to care and do things for others. My back ground is nursing, something I loved but left a couple of years ago. After a change in home circumstances I was looking to do something again, I knew it had to be a meaningful job which I also would benefit from too.
From the moment I heard about Rainbow I was hooked. It created so much excitement, and going to the groups just confirmed that I was going to love this job…. It’s was like a day out making new friends.
I’m family oriented and have three girls and four grandchildren the youngest I helped deliver on the bathroom floor, not forgetting my two fur babies that of course love their walks.

What's our mission & core values?
Our mission is to pioneer the way dementia care is provided in North Northants by providing a specialist dementia day service that only focuses on the needs of people living with dementia in North Northants and the surrounding areas. Dignity, Compassion, Respect, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Trust are our core values.
Is the taster day free?
Totally. We want you to experience the day as if you were a full member. This means places are limited, so please contact us today to reserve a place.
Is it a full day or half day?
The day runs from 10am until 4pm. This is really important to give the carer a full day respite, but also to embed the loved one into the group. The change that takes place when someone gets a full day of stimulation is much faster, so beneficial all round.
Can the carer stay with the loved one?
We don’t advise this, no. This is because it is as important for the carer to get some time off and feel refreshed as it is for the loved one to feel part of the group.
Is there food?
Yes, we provide a healthy, nutritious lunch for all. (Allergies will be discussed prior to a taster day)
Do you give personal care?
We can provide personal care and we will deliver this support in the most respectful and dignified way possible. We provide a thorough assessment where we will be able to offer clarification on everything we can provide as part of our service.
