Our Dementia Homecare Support Service
We provide a specialist Dementia Homecare Support service in Harrogate, Wetherby, and surrounding areas for people living with Dementia. We work closely and collaboratively with each individual and their loved ones to create bespoke packages of care that are completely tailor-made.
Hourly care –
We only offer a minimum of 1 hour for any personal care visit. We want to enable people to be as independent as possible and try to encourage participation in their daily routines. Personal care can be a very private task and we want to ensure that our clients are comfortable and their dignity respected at all times. Our carers will take the time to make this a pleasant experience for people, they will not rush but instead incorporate each person’s life story into their personal care routine wherever possible. For example, someone may have always listened to Radio 2 in the morning, so their carer will make sure that it is on in the background and they join them for a sing-along as part of their morning routine if they wish.
Welfare visits – Subject to availability
We may be able to offer shorter visits at times, for tasks that don’t require 1 hour. This may be just to call in and check on someone or it may be to assist with medication. We are happy to discuss any requirements with you.
Companionship visits –
We can provide daily companionship slots during the afternoon which are offered at a reduced rate – these are a minimum of two hours. The purpose of these visits is to support and enable our clients to engage in activities or access the local community.
For example, someone may choose to spend this time with a carer doing a jigsaw, gardening or other tasks at home, or they may spend this time going out to a local coffee shop or community group.
Night support – Subject to availability
We can provide support during the night. Sleeping nights are charged from 10pm-7am and waking nights are charged as hourly care.
Care management service
