A unique day opportunity for people living with dementia in partnership with Living Potential Care Farming.
We are very excited to announce we will be opening a new Day Care Club at Carlshead Farm in Sicklinghall from Tuesday 3rd March 2020. Carlshead farm has been specially adapted for the use of people with various physical and cognitive impairments, and provides a unique sensory environment.
The Day Care Service will provide all of our usual fabulous activities, stimulation and fun along with some amazing bespoke extras such as:
- Animal therapy- Access to lambs, piglets, guinea pigs, rabbits, hens, and coming soon – Alpacas!
- Morning egg collection and making cakes in the wonderful farm kitchen
- Soft archery
- Fishing
- Woodland walks
- Basketry
All activities as always are specially adapted to enable those with physical or cognitive impairments to participate.
